Emergency Response Team

AED Program Management

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a device that can deliver an electric shock (defibrillation) to a victim of sudden cardiac arrest that is suffering from a heart rhythm disorder called ventricular fibrillation (VF).  By providing immediate treatment, you can dramatically increase the victim's chances of survival.  With minimal training, anyone can be a lifesaver and the latest AEDs are remarkably lightweight and simple to use.
