CPR Adult On-Line Training Available

The goal of this CPR program for the community and workplace is to provide individuals with the basic knowledge and skills that are necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency.

Course Overview: Review of the Good Samaritan laws and standard precautions (BSI), heart disease and stroke, sequence of survival (SOS) rescue breathing, one rescuer CPR, and foreign body airway obstruction (choking) for adults. Participants receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies  and  a course completion that is valid for 2 years. Recommended course time 4 hours.

 

CPR Pediatric (Daycare Provider)

The goal of this CPR program for the community and workplace is to provide individuals and daycare providers with the basic knowledge and skills that are necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency.

Course Overview: Review of the Good Samaritan laws and standard precautions (BSI), heart disease and stroke, sequence of survival (SOS) rescue breathing, one rescuer CPR, and foreign body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children & infants. Participants receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies  and  a course completion that is valid for 2 years. Recommended course time 4 hours. This course meets California Licensing requirements for daycare providers. (EMSA stickers available with this course)

 

CPR and AED On-Line Training Available

The goal of this CPR and AED program for the community and workplace is to provide individuals with the basic knowledge and skills that are necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency.

CPR PRO (Healthcare Providers) On-Line Training Available

This course is designed to meet the needs of health care professionals or other professionals whose jobs require completion of a written and skills performance evaluation. This program meets the same criteria as American Heart‘s Health Care Provider program. Participants must pass a written & performance evaluation.

Course Overview: Initial assessment, adult & pediatric airway, foreign body obstruction, rescue breathing, mouth  to mask ventilation, one & two rescuer CPR, use of AED and oxygen administration with adjuncts. Students receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies and a course completion card that is valid for 2 years. Recommended course time 8 hours.

Typical audience: Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, EMT/P, and other professionals whose job require completion of a written evaluation and successful skills performance.

 

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) On-Line Training Available

This life saving program is geared for those industries that either have a Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program in-place or for those that are considering of starting a PAD program. Written and skills evaluations.

Course Overview: Introduction to ventricular fibrillation and the use of defibrillators, Guideline for developing an emergency response plan, CPR review, AED operation, and AED maintenance and troubleshooting.

Students receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies and a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.  Recommended course time 2 hours.

Typical audience: Healthcare providers, firefighters, police, airline personnel, security guards, corporations, and others that may respond to a cardiac arrest victim. Prerequisite: CPR/Basic Life Support.

 

First Aid

This basic first aid course is offered in three modules: Adult, Universal, and Pediatric. Properly applied first aid can save lives, time of recovery and can possibly make a difference between a temporary and lifelong disability of a victim. Participants receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies and  a course completion that is valid for 2 years.

 

Adult Module: This 4 hour hands on course, prepares students for common adult injuries and illnesses. Topics include: Emergency response, head-to-toe exam, bleeding, shock, burns, splinting, sudden illnesses, heat and cold emergencies. This course is recommended for businesses, industry, and medical institutions that care for adults.

 

Pediatric Module: This 4 hour hands on course, prepares students for common pediatric injuries and illnesses with emphases on injury prevention. Topics include Emergency response, head-to-toe exam, bleeding, shock, burns, splinting, sudden illnesses, respiratory emergencies, heat and cold emergencies. This course is recommended for Day Care Staff, Schools, Coaches, Parents, Grandparents and Babysitters.

This course meets California Licensing requirements for daycare providers. (EMSA stickers available with this course)

 

Universal Module: This 4 hour hands on course, prepares students for common adult & child injuries and illnesses. Topics include: Emergency response, head-to-toe exam, bleeding, shock, burns, splinting, sudden illnesses, heat and cold emergencies. This course is recommended for businesses, industry, medical institutions, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and any one who may respond to medical emergencies with a delayed response by your local emergency medical services.

 

 

CPR and First Aid Combination Course

Course Overview: This program is an 8 hour CPR/First Aid course that can be taught to meet your training needs. All material covered would be dependent upon what course modules you select from above. Participants receive easy to follow handbooks that depicts realistic emergencies  and  a course completion that is valid for 2 years. On-Line Training Available (CPR)

 

Essentials Program

The Essentials program is designed to arm the layperson with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care for the ill or injured until the arrival of the emergency medical services (EMS).

Course Overview: Participants will learn how to assess the scene and victims of an emergency, provide basic life support (airway management, CPR, AED and emergency oxygen skills), bloodborne pathogens and basic first aid care of the ill or injured. Only "essential" information is covered in this program. This approach allows students to quickly integrate the skills from each module into the next.  Participant receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies, an essentials action card and course completion card that is valid for two years. Recommended course time 7 hours.

 

PET FIRST AID

This program provide the participants  basic information on caring for dogs and cats as well as guidance about when pets should be taken to the veterinarian for professional care.

Course Overview: This program includes how to approach an ill or injured animal, rescue breathing, CPR, choking, how to control bleeding, how to care for injuries to muscles and bones, heat and cold related emergencies and more. This program is not intended to replace veterinary care but rather teaches how to save a pet's life in an emergency situation or to minimize a pet's trauma after an injury. Always after an emergency have your pet checked out by your local vet. Participant receive an easy to follow handbook that depicts realistic emergencies and a wall certificate.

 

Child Care and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Program

Be a prepared babysitter! Show your clients your credentials! This fun and exciting course will teach you, the babysitter, how to be safe and prepared. Gain confidence by learning infant care skills. Be the “asked for” babysitter who knows about children’s behaviors. Learn techniques you can use to tame your tots and handle the “bedtime blues”. Student receive a CABS wallet card and a SafetyQuest Babysitter Course completion Certificate.
